I've used other NAS and similar products and felt disappointed by all of them, but this product works perfectly. It's very easy to use. I like how it supports data encryption as well, and it has an alarm function, which makes it easy to know when it's time to back up. The customer support has been more than generous. Highly recommended.

Backup Plan is an NAS backup utility designed to backup data to NAS, FTP server, web server, local disk, email server and more.
It has a simple and intuitive user interface and requires no special skills to setup and operate. And the optional ASUSTOR Backup Plan (ASUSNAS) is included for backup to NAS. The backup plan is only compatible with the backup data sent from the NAS from the version 2.0.2.5060.
BACKUP PLAN backup to FTP, and supports more FTP server options such as ProFTPD, Lighttpd, Pure-FTPd, (see the Supported FTP server table below). Backup Plan also supports FTP for Windows NT/2000/2003/XP and FTP for Linux/Solaris.
To back up to FTP, it uses built-in SFTP client, so you can connect to FTP servers easily.
